Hike at Pontatoc Ridge for 2021-10-30

The Pontatoc Ridge Hike is an out and back trail beginning at the Finger Rock Trailhead that crosses a few small washes then climbs a “front” ridge of the Catalina Mountains providing amazing Foothills and city views.


 

Meet at the Health and Fitness Facility at 8:30am to carpool to the trailhead.
Distance of Hike: 4.1 miles (out and back)
Elevation Change: 1,400 feet
Time Requirement (including the drive to and from the trailhead): approximately 3.5 to 4 hours
 
Please be prepared with the following:
Good hiking/trail shoes.
Sun/weather protection (hat, sunglasses, sleeves, sunblock etc)
Water, water and more water! Feel free to bring an energy bar or two as well.
Trekking poles may be useful to some on this hike.
