- With all hikes, please review the distance and elevation gain to decide if this hike is right for you.

Please be prepared with the following:
- Good hiking/trail shoes.
- Sun/weather protection (hat, sunglasses, sleeves, sunblock etc)
- Water, water and more water! Feel free to bring an energy bar or two as well.
- Trekking poles may be useful to some on this hike.
Hike Information
- Meet: Meet at the Health and Fitness Facility at 8:30am to carpool to the trailhead.
- Description: Romero Pools Canyon via Catalina State Park is a Tucson hiking must. The hike follows the north side of Romero Canyon offering great canyon views, views of the Catalinas, and a great mixture of switchbacks, rocks and level hiking all within one hike. As an added bonus, the Pools themselves are a unique sight in the desert.
- Length: 5.5 miles (round trip)
- Elevation change: 1,300 feet
- Time (including travel): 4 to 5 hours
