- Please be prepared with the following:
- Good hiking/trail shoes.
- Sun/weather protection (hat, sunglasses, sleeves, sunblock etc)
- Water, water and more water! Feel free to bring an energy bar or two as well.
- Trekking poles may be useful to some on this hike.
Finger Rock Canyon Details
- Meet: Meet at the Health and Fitness Facility at 8:30amto carpool to the trailhead.
- Description: The Finger Rock trail is a frequently used trail taking hikers up the east side of Finger Rock Canyon. The trail starts out fairly level, but once hikers enter the canyon, it quickly turns steep as the trail moves up the canyon wall and stays above the canyon floor. Multiple turn around options exist on this out-and-back trail. We will turn around at the 3 mile mark, just across the canyon from the Finger Rock.
